We don’t really link to other websites when it comes to their features, but sometimes they produce something so good that we just can’t help ourselves. If you have practically any interest in Paradox Development Studio’s Stellaris, you should read Gamasutra’s post-mortem for the game.
Gamasutra discuss with the developers at Paradox things that went right with Stellaris, including: the early game, the art and sound, the accessibility and so on. They also talk about things that went wrong, for example how the developers underestimated the 4x genre, scripted content, prototyping and more. It’s an interesting read even for those who haven’t played Stellaris as it gives you an insight into how developers treat their games.
Also for people who may not have played Stellaris, why not read our review of the game? Joe Donnelly wrote our review, giving the game an excellent 9 out of 10. Here’s how Joe concluded his review: “Stellaris is simply wonderful. If you enjoy grand strategy games then you’ll love this. If you don’t then this could be the one to change your mind. If you’ve been too intimidated to try the genre before now, then here’s your ideal starting point.”
For those of you who have played plenty of Stellaris and are looking to mix things up, you should totally look at our Best Stellaris Mods page. There’s plenty of mods to change your experience with the game such as the Easy Mode mod – that’s for people looking for a casual experience. That’s just an example of one of the mods, have a look at the page and I’m sure you will find something interesting.
