If you haven’t heard much about Arcanity Inc., you’ve probably at least heard about some of the projects from the people that formed the relatively new indie studio. They come from the likes of Obsidian, inXile, Westwood and Sony and after much time and effort, their first project, Tanzia, will be hitting the market soon.
Tanzia is an third person action-RPG much in the vein of other colorful open-world RPGs and MMORPGs. Players will be taking up the role of a young shaman as they grow and learn new skills to push back an ancient evil that threatens to engulf their island home. A vast array of spells will allow the player to target enemy weaknesses and use the environment to their advantage as they learn new tricks from the various island Elders.
Arcanity Inc.’s staff is composed of designers, programmers, and artists who have previously worked on a ton of high and low-profile releases including Everquest, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, Neverwinter Nights II, Command & Conquer: Generals and Torment: Tides of Numenera to name a few. Tanzia represents a collaborative effort between these collected talents that has been in development for over two years.
Tanzia has been confirmed for release in late 2016 on Steam. A recently released trailer can be seen below.
