Ubisoft has revealed some of the content that will be included in the Season Pass for Tom Clancy’s The Division. The publisher also announced that there will be periodic free content updates during its release as well.
The first expansion will be called “Underground”, as squads will be able to explore new areas under the streets of New York City. The second will be called “Survival” and it apparently will be a special challenge that forces players to try to ”survive in a hostile environment that will challenge even the most hardcore Division players.” The third and last expansion is simply called “Last Stand”, with no other description as of yet. Ubisoft did state that those three premium content updates will be released in that order.
Gamers who subscribe to the Season Pass by day one of launch will also get some freebie in-game content including an exclusive sawed-off shotgun, new outfits and exclusive weapon skins. ”Season Pass owners also get monthly perks in the form of exclusive content drops and events.”
Those who choose not to subscribe will not be left out, however. Ubisoft is promising all players will get to enjoy free content updates. ”These updates will be built around new game modes, featuring cooperative challenges that reward your squad’s ability to successfully work together,” promised the developer in the press release.
Xbox One owners who preordered the game get to automatically join the closed beta today, while PC and PlayStation 4 preorders will join the beta tomorrow, January 29th.
