Strange Brigade is an upcoming, third person cooperative shooter developed by Rebellion Developments that also has puzzle and survival horror game elements all implemented into a fun, action packed shooter, perfect for four-player co-op. Strange Brigade, built on the Rebellion-developed, Asura engine, is set to be released soon, though we don’t have an exact release date.
Strange Brigade is a four player horde attack co-op shooter set in an exotic, far off land, in an age of Empire and adventure similar, in setting, to late Victorian times. Why is it perfect for four-player co-op, you ask? You have a choice of four classes, each class has a special load-out and ability. Located in the bottom center of the screen is an amulet, that, when pressed, delivers said special ability in the form of some serious butt kickery.
As you move through the levels you will encounter puzzles that require teamwork to solve and conquer while fighting your way through hordes of zombies and mummies, to begin with. Sub-bosses like Minotaurs roam around with these hordes and there are loads of ways to bring these monstrosities down by using different tactics and teamwork. Use enemy traps against them, or use the environment to your advantage. Your only limits are your imagination.
Strange Brigade comes in and brings a new feel to the already well known setting of a post-apocalyptic zombie wasteland. Gone are the cold confines of dark, dank cities, no longer will the player wrap up warm to survive. Here you will fight hordes of the undead and the supernatural whilst working on your tan in this frightening yet beautifully wondrous exotic world in Strange Brigade.
