After months of work, EA and DICE have finally unveiled their new progression system for Star Wars Battlefront II.
Based on feedback from the players (and a fair amount of backlash), loot crates will no longer offer gameplay rewards. Instead, playing a class will net you experience points, which will then give you skill points to put into a particular Star Card ability/stat.
Loot crates will from now on offer only cosmetic and economic rewards, like credits and emotes/skins.
Said skins are coming in April, and will be alternate appearances to heroes and troopers. Aside from loot boxes, you will also be able to get them directly by using either Credits (earned in-game) or Crystals (purchasable with real money).
The Star Wars Battlefront II Progression update drops on March 21st, and the first skins will be added on April. Everything already unlocked on the game will remain so after the update drops.
