Imagine Left 4 Dead, if you will, but with Xenomorphs chasing after you instead of the Infected. Sounds like a heart attack in the making, doesn't it? Well, the aptly-titled GTFO is a cooperative FPS title that may well combine the two in practice.
Granted, GTFO does have a somewhat more generic monster design work than Giger did, but there are some interestingly weird features to these creatures, such as their semi-transparent tendrils used to probe the area for hostile contacts.
And there's a lot of hostile contact between the "infected" and humans to be found in GTFO. The trailer featured at the bottom of this article showcases some pretty intense combat as the players prowl through the entrails of an old facility/spaceship, though that isn't its primary focus.
Instead, we would argue that this nine-minute trailer is supposed to pinpoint and convey the game's rather impressive atmosphere - motion detectors and all - to play on the L4D/Aliens comparison. Nothing wrong with that, mind! In fact, it is nice to see more cooperative FPS titles coming out, especially ones as promising as GTFO is.
Why waste words, though, when you could be watching the video yourself? If it just so happens that you like what you see in the trailer featured below, GTFO can already be found on Steam, as it is slated for release sometime this year.
