Revealed through a teaser during 2018’s The Game Awards, Dragon Age 4 has kept a low profile in the time since. Close to no information was revealed regarding the fourth entry in the acclaimed RPG series, leaving fans wanting.
That was the case until yesterday when publisher Electronic Arts confirmed in a conference call that a potential Dragon Age 4 release date is, quite likely, more than two years away.
Dragon Age 4 Release Date
“You should assume that there’s Dragon Age out there, we’ve talked about it publicly that it’s in the works – it probably comes after fiscal 2022”, said Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen.
Given how fiscal year 2022 begins with April 2021 and ends with March 2022, it’s safe to assume that it’ll be a good while until Dragon Age 4 releases.
The teaser revealed during The Game Awards 2018 featured the sentence “The Dread Wolf Rises” and hinted at Solas playing a role in the upcoming sequel. Given how Dragon Age: Inquisition ended, that wouldn’t be too big of a surprise.
