Although the series has had its ups and downs and your mileage may vary in terms of multiplayer server population, the first-person shooter franchise has had quite a few hits over the years.
As time passed, it leaned more into the cinematic side of things, bringing in popular actors to play main characters and villains.
Yet, at its core, it remained a first-person shooter that puts action at the forefront, putting you in the shoes of soldiers capable of taking on entire armies by themselves.
