Borderlands 3 has now launched on Google Stadia, however, users choosing to purchase it on the streaming platform will play an outdated version of the game, at least for a while.
Borderlands 3’s first DLC, Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, is also slated to arrive on Google Stadia in early 2020, later than its PC and console versions which launch tomorrow, December 19.
Borderlands 3 Google Stadia Outdated Version
“We aim to achieve feature parity for all versions of Borderlands 3 early in 2020, but for the moment the version of the game that you play on Stadia has benefitted from the updates and fixes that were released through October 24.”, developer Gearbox wrote in a post.
“Noteworthy features coming soon to the Stadia version of Borderlands 3 include endgame content like the Takedown at the Maliwan Blacksite and Mayhem 4 difficulty, dedicated loot pools for bosses, and additional bank space.”, it continued.
The October 24 patch was Borderlands 3’s third, adding the Halloween-themed Bloody Harvest event, among other things.
