Publisher Paradox Interactive today announced that Crusader Kings 3’s Coronations Event Pack DLC now has a release date slated to occur in early September.
Shining the spotlight on a key moment of any playthrough – a new ruler’s ascension to the throne – it introduces the titular in-game activity as a multi-stage event during which we impress vassals, deal with rivals, and set an objective for our rule.
Crusader Kings 3: Coronations Event Pack Release Date
As opposed to its chunkier predecessor, Khans of the Steppe, the DLC focuses less on refining and expanding core systems and more on fleshing out the experience of roleplaying as a medieval ruler.
Below, you’ll find the key features of Crusader Kings III’s Coronations Event Pack DLC, as detailed by the publisher in an emailed press release:
New Activity: Coronations
- Legitimize your rule through grand coronations that will impress your vassals and neighbouring rulers
- Manoeuvre around faction members and detractors, hopefully forging a magnificent coronation from dangerous circumstances
- Bring together your vassals for a grand ceremony to celebrate your new rule of the realm
Oaths
- Take an oath after your coronation and declare an objective for your rule
- Access new decisions with unique rewards to suit every playstyle
Crusader Kings III: Coronations’ release date is slated to occur on September 9, 2025. The DLC can be purchased individually, for the price of $4.99/€4.99/£4.29 or your regional equivalent but is also available as part of CKIII’s Chapter IV pack, which includes all the content coming to the grand strategy game throughout 2025.
Part of this bundle is All Under Heaven, the game’s fourth major expansion. It sees the map becoming 30% larger, thanks to the long-awaited inclusion of Eastern Asia.
In other Paradox news, Europa Universalis V is heading our way in November, its first post-launch DLC focusing on the Byzantine Empire.
