Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 2.3’s release date brings yet another serving of content for CD Projekt Red’s redeemed RPG. Despite previously claiming that major updates were no longer planned, as focus shifted towards the next game in the series, it appears that this incarnation of Night City still has nooks and crannies for us to explore.
Senior Community Manager Alicja Kozera confirmed Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 2.3 towards the end of a livestream dedicated to the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 version.

“[…] I can tell you right now that we are planning another patch for the game, the last one wasn’t the last one,” she said before confirming that Cyberpunk 2077’s patch 2.3 release date is locked in to June 26, 2025.

Although we don’t yet know its scope or what it adds, a livestream dedicated to the update is scheduled for “the end of June.”
CP2077 Quest Director Paweł Sasko also confirmed the upcoming update on Bluesky: “Yes, 2.3 for #Cyberpunk2077 is coming, we have been cooking for you in secret for a bit. As usual, I’m taking care of the update personally and we will communicate more, when it’s ready. Much love chooms.”
The previous major update was developed in collaboration with Virtuous, but it’s unclear at the moment whether or not the studio is also contributing to this surprise update.
As rough as a launch as the RPG had, CD Projekt Red’s commitment to addressing as many issues as possible while releasing smaller and larger content updates even as its focus shifts to The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2077’s sequel is commendable.
