Dracula: The Disciple Gameplay
Gameplay-wise, Dracula: The Disciple takes us to Transylvania. There, we explore the dark halls of the vampire count’s gothic castle while searching for a cure for protagonist Emile Valombres’ terminal illness.
Dracula’s “writings and correspondence [reveal] knowledge beyond human comprehension, from occult incantations to alchemical transmutations and unholy experiments,” which Emile needs to replicate to prolong his life.
In the castle’s laboratory, we “combine elemental powers using the alembic, decanter, and athanor.” The castle’s greenhouse allows us to “grow strange plants with sometimes supernatural properties, and master the intricate art of rituals by tracing their symbols on the castle floor yourself.”
We’ll have to use logic alongside these tools and ingredients to succeed. The cure, however, comes at a cost – that of transforming Emile into a vampire.
Thankfully, the powers resulting from said transformation “offer unique advantages” allowing us to explore further into the castle, which also changes notably between daytime and nighttime.
