To put evil to sleep, all you need is a set of stories brimming with absurdity. That’s the thesis behind Dungeons 4’s Tales from the Campfire DLC, which brings us four new missions when it launches later in June, all framed as tales meant to ensure that Gorgu, the Baby Evil, ceases his tantrums and takes a much-needed nap.
Narratively, Dungeons 4’s Tales from the Campfire DLC picks up from where its predecessor, Not Another Multiverse, left its main cast. Yet, instead of blessing them with an easy journey back to Thalya’s dungeon and Tristan’s fortress, fate decides that they have to take the long road home.

Gorgu, the diaper-wearing incarnation of Evil, isn’t very keen about this turn of events, turning to doing what babies do best. To soothe his devilish tantrums, his non-diaper-wearing companions set up camp and turn to telling a series of absurd yet entertaining stories, in hopes that they would see piece return.
Two of the four missions in Dungeons 4’s Tales from the Campfire DLC center around thievery. The first has us rushing to recover Gorgu’s favourite toy mirror from the nasty heroes who stole it, ideally before the baby’s tears flood our dungeon.
During the second, it is we who do the thieving, as we rob a mail train in the Wicked Wild West. The DLC’s third mission revolves around cooling down a highly explosive volcano, which may involve doing the unthinkable and cooperating with Tristan and his heroes.
The final story then explores the “idyllic realm of the Knights of the Order of the Sheep, [whose] heroes wield a different kind of magic, turning your gruesome servants of Evil into fluffy, nerve-rackingly bleating sheep.”
Dungeon 4’s Tales from the Campfire DLC is set to release on June 26, 2025, when it arrives on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X/S.
While reviewing the base game, we found the fourth entry in the series to be “a delightful fantasy romp that harkens back to less complicated times,” which might be the perfect fit for these breezier summer months.
