Publisher Hooded Horse and developer Amplitude Studios have shared the first version of Endless Legends 2’s 2026 roadmap, confirming that custom factions, anomaly districts, and more are coming to the 4X strategy game.
This initial reveal comes with set release windows for only a handful of features, up until the month of March, largely due to how the developer is “constantly checking the feedback and adapting the following content,” preferring “to stay dynamic” despite having “an agenda” set.
Endless Legend 2 2026 Roadmap Reveals Plans for February and March
The first stop on Endless Legend 2’s 2026 roadmap is slated for February, its associated Steady Tides update already having a public test branch that anyone interested can check out to help the developer with feedback.
When it launches later this month, it brings updates to victory conditions, militia, and hero skills.
Later in March, Endless Legend 2’s 2026 roadmap brings us custom factions and the endless monsoon feature.
The former are fairly self-explanatory, allowing us to create “unique factions based on a cocktail of all the factions, like having Kin of Sheredyn battle affinity combined with the recover HP from Last Lords and the population of the Blackammers,” albeit with some limitations in place to help preserve balance.
The endless monsoon then kicks in “when reaching the last turns,” behaving differently from its counterpart we’re already familiar with and making Saiadha more dangerous to navigate.
Beyond March, Endless Legend’s 2026 roadmap doesn’t commit to set release windows, however, it does offer a glimpse at what’s to come.
Anomaly Districts offer a way to improve anomalies. Frequently requested by the community, the addition of combat retaliation aims to “reduce, a bit, the advantage of the attacker” while making battles “a bit more tactical and open additional possibilities to enhance some units, traits, passives, etc.”
New 2D art for the major factions is also being worked on, while a new faction is confirmed for the game’s full launch.
The team behind the game also plans to tackle some of its narration woes as well as a few other tidbits, as confirmed in the Steam post announcing Endless Legend 2’s 2026 roadmap.
