World of Warcraft’s patch 12.0.5 release date brings us the first set of fresh content following the launch of the MMORPG’s highly-anticipated Midnight expansion.
WoW’s update 12.0.5 is yet another test that shows us whether or not Blizzard has fully adapted to its new approach to content delivery, which involves shorter expansion cycles with a steady stream of bigger and smaller patches that always give players something new to look forward to.

World of Warcraft Patch 12.0.5 Content
As far as the content coming in World of Warcraft’s 12.0.5 update goes, we know that, with Xal’atath still at large, “Void Assaults begin to appear across the outdoor world.”
These new activities fit the theme of the expansion, keeping us on our toes and promising “new enemies to fight, new reasons to rally to defend Azeroth, and new rewards along the way.”
A more playful addition is that of a prop hunt event that’s meant to help us take our minds off the impending apocalypse threatening the world.
This event, which older players might be familiar with from other titles, sees two teams of five players facing each other “in a location such as Silvermoon City.” One team has to hide in the environment while being disguised as various props. The other is tasked with finding them.
Although WoW’s 12.0.5 update will likely be a smaller addition to the MMORPG, it will likely feature other pieces of content and, potentially, some much-needed bug fixes.
Blizzard will likely share more details about World of Warcraft’s 12.0.5 patch, its release date, and content once the dust settles following Midnight’s launch.
