With the holidays behind us, Paradox Tinto is back to tackling Europa Universalis 5’s remaining issues, bringing us update 1.0.11 through an open beta available on its own dedicated Steam branch. Its patch notes reveal two fixes, one of which addresses a fairly annoying vassal assimilation bug.
Another of the grand strategy game’s smaller post-launch updates, EU5’s patch 1.0.11 sees developer Paradox Tinto yet again asking players for feedback before pushing new updates to the game’s live branch.
Europa Universalis 5 Update 1.0.11 Patch Notes
Aside from the vassal assimilation bug mentioned above, EU5’s patch 1.0.11 also ensures that male characters spawned to fill courts come bundled with a wife and a daughter, unless they’re part of the clergy.
Below, you’ll find a portion of the full Europa Universalis V update 1.0.11 patch notes, highlighting how it changes the sprawling grand strategy game when it goes live:
Gameplay
- Randomly created male characters that spawn to fill out a court now come with a wife and a daughter, except for clergy characters.
AI
- Fixed an issue where AI was not taking into consideration the speed modifiers from culture war when calculating assimilation effects.
Beefier updates will likely follow now that Paradox Tinto is back in the office and hacking away at the sizeable patch 1.1, which is still several months away.
2026 is also the year when EUV is set to receive its first set of post-launch DLC, adding new ways for us to manage our realms and conquer entire chunks of the world.
