Jurassic World Evolution 3 is only getting started after a fantastic launch in October 2025 and the release of its first DLC pack. But of course, diehard Jurassic fans are waiting for news on the first large DLC that hopefully ties into last summer’s Jurassic World: Rebirth. Well, Frontier Developments’ new CEO has just said it’s coming soon.
The confirmation of a new movie tie-in quietly dropped during an investor meeting earlier this week (via HeavyGold8 on Reddit). It contains an explicit mention (0:22) of “a big DLC for Rebirth coming out.” As newly appointed CEO Jo Cooke pointed out, Jurassic World Evolution games have traditionally released around new movies in the long-running franchise, so all of them took advantage of the all-new dinosaur designs, locations, characters, and whatnot to deliver on the ultimate Jurassic package fans are looking for.
Details on when this expansion-like DLC might drop or what it may contain haven’t been shared yet, but extra tidbits from the meeting (plus the most recent annual report) suggest the game will be enjoying lots of support following a strong launch and evolve (pun intended) based on player feedback. After a celebrated focus on creative tools for JW Evolution 3’s launch, it seems like the most sensible path forward, and we’re eager to see what’s next for this amazing park simulator.
Last but not least, Frontier also underlined game sequels (for all their successful IPs) should be expected after +3 years. In fact, the latest company roadmap update confirms (again) a Planet Zoo sequel will be revealed sooner rather than later as its next game. On top of new releases and DLC packs, Switch 2 is also being explored for potential ports.
At the time of writing, Frontier’s pre-Evolution 3 games are discounted on Steam. If you’re looking to catch up on past park-builder management sims from the veteran developer, now’s your chance!
