Gangs of Sherwood filters the legend of Robin Hood through a futuristic, dystopian lens, turning the struggle against the Sheriff of Nottingham into an action-packed, combo-fueled adventure. If you’re planning to recruit other players as part of your team of Merry Men, you’ll want to know if crossplay is planned for launch.
Gangs of Sherwood cross-platform support would fit the title like a glove, considering its co-op focus. Teaming up with other players would make coordination easier while allowing for better synergy between the different characters’ playstyles.
Gangs of Sherwood Crossplay
Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Gangs of Sherwood crossplay is planned for launch. The feature hasn’t been brought up during the game’s marketing efforts, which suggests cross-platform support might not be on the cards.
- Gangs of Sherwood crossplay status: Not available at launch
Unless a surprise announcement proves us wrong in the lead-up to launch, the only way we’ll be able to tackle the Sheriff’s forces alongside players on other platforms is if a post-launch update introduces the feature.
It’s tough to say if we can expect such an update at this point, but we’ll very likely hear from the developer if it happens to be part of its plans for the game.
That is what we know so far about Gangs of Sherwood crossplay and whether or not we can expect cross-platform support at release.
Gangs of Sherwood is slated to launch on November 30, 2023, heading to the PC (via both Steam and the Epic Games Store), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
