The solo indie developer behind the cult first-person horror games Conrad Stevenson’s Paranormal P.I. and Among The Whispers - Provocation is back with an all-new take on ghost-hunting simulation: Daughter of Voodoo.
Revealed today, October 30, this new atmospheric horror experience with a heavy emphasis on narrative follows a clairvoyant priestess as she performs sacred rituals, uses vintage paranormal tools, and bridges “the worlds of the living and the dead to uncover the haunting truths that echo beyond the grave.”
The first teaser trailer isn’t in-game and is more of a moodsetter, but longtime fans of Kip’s (the developer) work will be excited to finally learn about his next game. Watch it here:
“As Marie Laurette, a clairvoyant priestess, you walk a fine line between the living and the dead. Use authentic Voodoo practices to commune with spirits, guide them toward the afterlife, and uncover the truth behind their restless presence. Craft Voodoo ritual objects like mojo bags, perform ceremonies, and strengthen your connection to the realm of the dead as you unravel each supernatural mystery. Your clairvoyant sight lets you pierce the veil and glimpse into the realm of the dead where you see spirits as they were in their final, fleeting moments.”
At the time of writing, only a PC (Steam) launch is confirmed, and we don’t have a release window yet. Kip has teased, however, Daughter of Voodoo will be tying into “both of the previous games” to create a single unified storyline, so now seems like the perfect time to jump into those if you haven’t already.
