GOG’s 2026 New Year Sale has now kicked into full gear, bringing us more discounts for a plethora of DRM-free titles, including Ubisoft’s classic Prince of Persia series.
Its mix of new and (good) old games is bound to make GOG’s 2026 New Year Sale worth checking out for fans of every genre before it ends on February 4, 2026. The inclusion of several Prince of Persia games does, however, feel notable, given the recent cancellation of the Sands of Time Remake amidst the general turmoil that Ubisoft finds itself in at the moment.
GOG 2026 New Year Sale Discounts Prince of Persia, Many More
For a bit over $2, you can go back to where it all started and revisit or discover Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, a classic well worth playing despite its rougher edges and difficulty spikes.
Its edgier sequel, Warrior Within, as well as the third game in the series, The Two Thrones, are equally cheap. The same applies to 2008’s Ubisoft Montreal-developed reboot which, while divisive, has plenty of character thanks to its cel-shaded art style.
Outside the realm of Prince of Persia, GOG’s 2026 New Year Sale also slashes the prices of The Witcher: Enhanced Edition, Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II: Royal Edition, so we’re definitely covered for lengthy RPGs.
Over on the strategy front, we can pick up Total War: Medieval II - Definitive Edition for 80% off, while indie enthusiasts can grab Image & Form’s The Gunk for less than a dollar.
Here are a handful of highlights from GOG’s 2026 New Year Sale:
