Hitman 3 brings IO Interactive’s trilogy to a close and fans of the series’ brilliantly built sandbox levels are likely wondering about a potential Steam release.
Since the Epic Games Store emerged a few years back, storefront exclusivity has become a notion that PC players have to deal with relatively often. And, while the first two entries in the trilogy became available on Valve’s storefront at launch, we’ll have to wait longer for Hitman 3’s Steam release.
Hitman 3 Steam Release Date
Publisher and developer IO Interactive confirmed back in August of last year that its upcoming title would, indeed, launch as an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC.
This made it unlikely for a Hitman 3 Steam release to happen prior to January 20, 2022, since Epic exclusivity deals usually lasted for a whole year.
There have been a few notable exceptions like Red Dead Redemption 2 and Borderlands 3 in the past, but no signs initially pointed towards this being the case for Hitman 3.
As 2022 rolled in, IO Interactive confirmed that Hitman 3’s Steam release date is, indeed, set for January 20, when the Hitman Trilogy also arrives on PC Games Pass and its Xbox counterpart.

Although it still has quite a bit of catching up to do, the storefront has kept adding features like mods and a cart, but also improved the look of its library and front page alongside hosting multiple sales.
