If you’re in New Year’s malaise and need a jolt of gaming action to get you going, then the latest Humble Bundle could do the trick.
The Humble Bundle Carnage Collection offers up to eight action-packed PC games featuring plenty of guns, monsters, and bloodshed to get the adrenaline pumping. Sure, it’s not as physically effective as a gym membership, but at least you can sit on the sofa and have a cuppa while you play these.
What’s in the Humble Bundle Carnage Collection?
In the 3-item bundle, which you need to pay at least £7.20 for, you get three highly-rated PC games.
There’s score attack FPS Warstride Challenges, where hyperkinetic run n’ gun boomer shooter fun will test your reaction skills. Then you can stretch the mind muscles a bit with the realistic WWII shooter Easy Red 2. Finishing off this initial trio is dread-inducing undersea horror in the shark-infested Death in the Water 2.
But for £9, you can add even more sharks to the mix with cum ‘em up action RPG Maneater, which features as part of the six-item tier alongside rougelike brawler Hellboy Web of Wyrd and dystopian Metroidvania Laika: Aged Through Blood.
The juicest (read goriest) part of the bundle comes in the 8-item tier. There you can carve up the undead in sun-kissed Los Angeles with Dead Island 2 and give foes the fear as a supernatural soldier in brutal shooter Trepang2.
As ever, Humble Bundle gives a minimum to pay for each tier, but encourages extra donations to help developers and chosen charities. The charity supported by this bundle is Coral Guardian, which helps protect and restore coral ecosystems worldwide.
