If you've had any sort of continuous experience with Tripwire Interactive's Killing Floor games, then you know that these guys have a particular penchant for holiday-related events. So we might get to butcher the Santa, his imps, and his reindeer on Christmas every once in a while, for example.
Killing Floor 2's latest such event will be that of Halloween 2018, and Tripwire have already begun to pave the way for this year's special round of slaughter, which seems to be a rather colourful mishmash of interestingly horrifying notions, ideas, and references.
Indeed, the general theme of 2018's Killing Floor 2 Halloween event seems to be that of a rave/masquerade, where all sorts of monstrosities are set to make an appearance. The ones that have been shown off so far are the Fleshpoud, who will now be the Creature from the Black Lagoon, while the EDAR will temporarily become a weaponised pumpkin-monster.
Of the variety of new cosmetics, Tripwire have also only just shown a few, the most interesting of which will definitely be the oddly horrifying, yet also endearing Clot/backpack hybrid, because that's just the sort of game this is, really.
While we're waiting for this year's Killing Floor 2 Halloween trailer to drop, why not take a gander at the one made for last year's festivities, and remind ourselves of what sort of mess we might be getting into this time around.
