We already that knew Battlefield 6 was just getting started with its first season of content, but the latest Community Update from Battlefield Studios is teasing a long list of changes and tweaks coming to the game based on player feedback and on top of the new content plans.
A generous post from the developers on November 12 explained how BF6’s immediate future is looking and gave us a rundown of everything they’re looking at besides new content and pressing fixes. The full thing isn’t a quick read, so we highly recommend reading it regardless if you want all the deets, but here’s our full rundown for those of you short on time:
-
On November 18, with the California Resistance S1 update, changes are being made to weapon dispersion in order to make recoil build-up and bullet dispersion much more consistent, all while also adjusting the aim assist for single-player and Portal content. Lighting is also being slightly tweaked to make soldier visibility easier across all situations. Finally, the challenge descriptions are getting clarity improvements to their texts, and Portal is gaining more segments of the Fort Lyndon map.
-
On December 9, with the Winter Offensive S1 update, on top of the promised content, adjustments are being applied to vehicles (balance pass), Breakthrough, and Rush.
-
Topics currently under review include: Map design and size (players want bigger maps and adjusted areas in certain modes, and those are happening in the future), more tweaks to challenges, clearer UI and menus, expanded player stat tracking, improvements to playing with friends, better, more reliable hit registration, and more well-balanced vehicles. Changes to these areas will roll out over time and always be based on player feedback and data.
-
On the matter of REDSEC, the battle royale side of the Battlefield 6 will receive audio performance improvements, Solo Mode changes to make it less punishing, a Casual BR Mode with more relaxed pacing, adjustments to armor plating (action time and availability), and the numbers and frequency of tank spawns.
