What does Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord's Login failed error mean? Why does it occur? Since its launch in Early Access, players have been encountering the issue when trying to hop into the title's multiplayer mode.
Here's everything we know about the Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord's Login failed error and whether or not there's a fix for it.
Mount and Blade 2 Bannerlord Login Failed Error
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's Login failed error seems to occur when players are trying to hop into the title's multiplayer mode.
One cause for the error could be an incoming update which could see the servers go offline until it's applied.
However, players are reporting getting the Login failed error outside of scheduled update times. For the most part, it seems to largely affect Windows 7 users, although there are reports of it occurring on Windows 10 as well.
A handful of players have managed to get past Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord's Login failed error by making sure that the Bannerlord executable found in the X:\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\bin\Win64_Shipping_Client folder is added to Windows Defender's list of exceptions.
Others have reported being able to play Bannerlord's multiplayer after waiting a while. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be a fix for the issue at the moment and there's not much that players can do, as it likely has to do with the game's servers.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord is available now on PC through Steam Early Access.
