Details about the next Tomb Raider game have reportedly leaked online, revealing its title, cover art, alongside a few low-resolution screenshots ahead of 2025’ The Game Awards .
Lara Croft’s next adventure is set to be officially revealed during tonight’s event and, if the leaks turn out to be true, both older and newer fans of the series have exciting times ahead of them.
New Tomb Raider Title and Images Leak Ahead of the Game Awards
As shared on ResetEra, the next entry in the series will reportedly be called Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.
It potentially aims to serve as a remake of the original Tomb Raider and a retelling of its story that includes a “unified Lara Croft,” which could point towards a protagonist inspired by both classic entries and the modern trilogy that concluded with 2018’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Lara’s pose in the leaked cover art for the next Tomb Raider Game does resemble that seen in the official tease shared by The Game Awards on X, formerly Twitter. The screenshots show her gazing over a vast, lush expanse and performing acrobatic tricks inside what could be a cave or a volcano, both plausible settings for her to explore.
As with every leak, it’s best to take all its details with a grain of salt. Online discussions have seen fans pointing towards the leaked Tomb Raider cover art as potentially being made using AI. Whether that is actually the case or we’re looking at an early version of the image is unclear.
We thankfully won’t have to wait too long before finding out whether or not Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is actually real.
Regardless of whether the leaks turn out to be true or not, Lara Croft is steadily preparing to jump back into action, which bodes well for fans who have been patiently waiting to learn what her next adventure entails.
In other The Game Awards news, it looks like Divinity Original Sin 3 won’t get revealed during tonight’s show.
