Overwatch 2’s Halloween Terror 2022 event delivers the first series of spooks following the launch of the free-to-play sequel, its start and end dates being rather vital if you’re looking forward to experiencing as much of what it offers as possible.
Overwatch 2’s Halloween Terror 2022 event also represents our first taste of how the transition to a free-to-play model affects these special occasions that are bound to pop up several times throughout the year.
Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror 2022 Start and End Date
Blizzard has now confirmed that Overwatch 2’s Halloween Terror event has locked down its start date to October 25.
Sadly, that’s all the developer revealed so far, which makes it tricky to pinpoint the event’s end date. In previous years, it lasted for three weeks but also kicked off earlier during the month.
- Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror 2022 start date: October 25, 2022
- Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror 2022 end date: First half of November 2022 (GameWatcher estimation)
We currently expect it to conclude at some point during the first half of November, although we’ll have to wait for official word before we can say for sure.
The Halloween Terror 2022 event could introduce new, spooky skins to collect or potentially buy from the in-game store, alongside special challenges.
Past iterations were also accompanied by a PvE horde mode, and it would be great to see it return, given how the sequel’s proper PvE mode won’t be playable until next year.
We expect to learn more about the start and end dates of Overwatch 2’s Halloween Terror 2022 event, its cosmetics, and gameplay additions over the coming days.
We’ll be sure to update this article as soon as there’s anything new to share.
