Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Gaming Minds Studios today announced that Railway Empire 2’s Industrial Revolution DLC is set to launch in late June on all platforms. Among its additions count three new fully-voiced scenarios that take us “on a journey through three critical hubs as production and use of the steam engine ushers in an age of productivity paving the way for complex supply chains, and monumental construction projects.”
The first, Industrial Miracle, begins in 1869, revolving around the Ruhr Valley as it becomes “the powerhouse of industrialisation, where coal mines, steelworks, and railroads formed a vast, interconnected web of progress.” Starting in 1880,La Dame de Fer takes us to France, as the country moves towards constructing its iconic Eiffel Tower.

The final scenario, Concrete Giant, in Railway Empire 2’s Industrial Wonders DLC marks yet another jump in time, to 1910, when we explore the Lower Colorado Basin. In addition, three new locomotives are also on the way, including the Big Boy and Heavy Mikado.
The DLC also ramps up the complexity of its production system, allowing us to “establish [our] own production sites and switch production goods for select rural businesses, while [our] factories have a greater variety in input and output goods.”
Finally, 15 new themed music tracks and jingles should help us feel more immersed as we put our entrepreneurial capabilities to the test.
Railway Empire 2’s Industrial Wonders DLC releases on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on June 24, 2025.
It will be priced at £8.99/€10.99 or your regional equivalent and benefit from a 10% discount on Steam and the Kalypso Media store during the first two weeks following its launch.
