Should you look beyond the festive season and start to wonder how to put some shine on the post-holiday melancholy, then you’ll possibly be pleased to learn that the latest SpongeBob SquarePants game is set to be released at the start of 2023.
Yes, SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake is bringing that endearing daffy anthropomorphic sponge and his dopey starfish pal Patrick back to PC on January 31, 2023 with some fresh platforming.
Not satisfied with causing all sorts of absurd chaos over the past two decades, SpongeBob and Patrick now have their mitts on some Mermaid’s Tears, which will grant their wishes. Of course, their wishes mean reality itself will only get more fractured.
SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake Costume Pack DLC
It’ll have at least 7 distinct Wishworlds featuring knights, cowboys, pirates, and prehistoric snails, plus a host of deliciously silly costumes for SpongeBob and Patrick, who happens to have been transformed into a balloon.
It’s looking fun, and if you’re really into SpongeBob, then there’s a BFF Edition of The Cosmic Shake that will retail for a whopping £219.99/$249.99 and features a 25cm statue, a 50cm inflatable Patrick, a BFF amulet & necklace, placemats, miniature bouncing balls, and yes, a copy of the game and Costume Pack DLC.
Included in the Costume Pack:
- RoboBob SteelPants
- Mermaid Man Bob
- JellyBob
- Primitive Sponge
- Dried Sponge
- Opposite Day
- Band Geek
If that’s a little rich for your blood, then the game itself is now up for pre-order at a price of £34.99/$39.99. and comes with the Costume Pack DLC, but you can also buy the game and DLC separately later, albeit with a separate cost of £7.99/$9.99 to purchase the DLC.
