Sci-fi city builder Surviving Mars: Relaunched now has a release date, publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Haemimont Studios announced today, preparing to take off in a bit under a month.
This remastered version of 2018’s acclaimed title includes an enhanced version of the original game and all of its post-launch DLC – both major and minor – while introducing new political mechanics as well as fresh expansions slated to release throughout 2026.
Surviving Mars: Relaunched Release Date
Aside from improving and reworking some of the content in the original game and its expansions, Surviving Mars: Relaunched also comes with the Martian Assembly, a spire that allows Martian factions to determine the direction and fate of colonies.
In addition, the remaster also brings upgraded graphics and UI improvements that should appeal to both efficiency-driven veterans and newcomers.
Accompanying its release date announcement was the reveal of the Surviving Mars: Relaunched - Ultimate Edition, which also includes the Prime Mission Expansion Pass.
Owners receive instant access to the new Interplanetary Codex mission sponsor, which is described as “an organization that has already set its sights not just on colonizing Mars, but organizing it and preparing for its political future.”
The sponsor grants “a unique Law Office building,” alongside “tools to manage diplomatic relationships with Earth - and funding, so long as you have the approval of colony factions.”
In Q2 2026, the Feeding the Future DLC expands food and production systems, adds deeper management options, as well as meal choices that affect comfort and sanity. Then, Q4 2026 brings us the Machine Utopia DLC, which is all about “mechanized labor and massive industrial options.”
Surviving Mars: Relaunched has locked in its release date to November 10, 2025, when it arrives on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S for the price of $39.99/£34.99/€39.99 or your regional equivlent. Its Ultimate Edition costs $59.99/£49.99/€59.99.
Owners of the original benefit from a discount when purchasing both the remaster’s standard edition, bringing down its price to $19.99/£17.50/€19.99, and its Ultimate Edition, which sets them back $39.99/£34.99/€39.99.
