A FAQ article dating from 2022 delves further into the matter, with the developer noting the following: “Currently, we only plan for a PC release.”
It’s difficult to say whether plans might have changed internally since the article was published, but based on what has been shared so far, a Tempest Rising console version doesn’t seem to be on the cards.
Should that not be the case, we’ll undoubtedly hear from developer Slipgate Ironworks and co-publishers 3D Realms and Knight’s Peak.
Although the game is heavily inspired by a classic PC real-time strategy (RTS) game, more and more strategy games have begun making the jump to consoles. Perhaps, following a successful launch, the same might apply to Tempest Rising.
