Total War: Warhammer 3’s hotfix 6.3.2 is slated to release tomorrow morning, developer Creative Assembly has announced, bringing a needed set of fixes for the campaign AI issues currently plaguing the grand strategy game.
Once it goes live on October 14 at 11 AM BST, Warhammer 3’s hotfix 6.3.2 should make the Lizardmen and Tomb Kings factions engage in unit recruitment once more while joining the broader conflict, as they previously did.

Although the developer did not provide a traditional list of patch notes, it did succinctly explain what Warhammer 3’s hotfix 6.3.2 aims to achieve.
“Hotfix 6.3.2 corrects two errors,” reads a post on the game’s forums. “Firstly, where the Campaign AI was not made aware of pooled resource restrictions on unit availability, and secondly adds an update to a previous change that caused a mishandling of stat gathering for zero cost units. “
As explained above, this essentially means that “the Campaign AI will take those pooled resource restrictions into account, and will properly assess the value of the units they’re recruiting which in turn means you should see Lizardmen and Tomb King factions recruiting armies, expanding and fighting it out.”
These issues kicked up a storm among the still-troubled trilogy closer’s community, leading to online complaints and a review bombing campaign that saw its Steam recent reviews hitting the Overwhelmingly Negative rating with its all-time rating hovering around the Mixed mark.
Creative Assembly did eventually respond, going fairly in-depth behind what causes the issues that Total War: Warhammer 3’s 6.3.2 hotfix aims to address but also admitting that others may rear their ugly heads.
News about the upcoming Tides of Torment DLC was postponed until the fixes were deployed, so it’s likely fair to say that everyone hopes things will settle, at least for a while. Warhammer 3 hasn’t received a single piece of DLC throughout 2025, so a trio of new lords to lead into battle with would be perfect right about now.
