After chasing the Total War: Warhammer 3 7.0 release date for months, the wait is almost over. Here’s when it’s finally dropping and the content and biggest changes you can expect from it and the sizable Tides of Torment DLC.
It’s safe to say the troubled threequel (which we personally had lots of fun with at launch) has suffered from growing pains, but Creative Assembly has remained committed to turning it into a sturdier trilogy capper. Following a couple of delays, the supposedly packed Tides of Torment DLC will bring new forces into the war, but perhaps longtime players are more interested in seeing how the core game experience will be improved with Update 7.0. We’re quite curious ourselves too, so here’s everything we know about it.
Total War: Warhammer 3 Patch 7.0 Release Date
Developer Creative Assembly has once again confirmed via the November 5 patch notes for the 6.3.4 hotfix the definitive release date for Patch 7.0:
- Total War: Warhammer 3 Patch 7.0 release date: December 4, 2025.
Expect the full patch notes to arrive right before 7.0’s launch. We’ll be listing the new information here as it hits.
As a side note: 7.0’s release date coincides with Total War’s 25th Anniversary Showcase, where new “fantasy and historical project announcements” are set to arrive.
Total War: Warhammer 3 Patch 7.0 Content
This new massive patch isn’t just full of tweaks, QoL changes, rebalance, and fixes to accommodate the paid Tides of Torment DLC. It also comes with free content for all players. While we don’t have the full list of everything hitting the game yet, here’s what we know so far.

Total War: Warhammer 3 Patch 7.0 Tides of Torment Content
While Creative Assembly has yet to reveal everything that’s coming in the Tides of Torment DLC, we know it’ll be coming with “maritime might, serpentine slaughter, and arcane ambition across the Immortal Empires campaign.” The High Elves, Slaanesh, and Norsca are getting new Lords (Aislinn, Dechala, and Sayl) plus “a formidable roster of deadly battle units, unique campaign mechanics, and narrative content.” For now, check out the announce trailer below:
