Total War: Warhammer 40,000 is steadily marching towards its highly anticipated launch, and if you’re curious to see how well Games Workshop’s grimdark sci-fi universe fits into Creative Assembly’s renowned grand strategy formula, keeping an eye on the title’s system requirements and the PC specs we’ll need to run it is rather vital to ensuring we can take part in the carnage.
Total War: Warhammer 40K’s four factions boast a variety of different units that engage in the large-scale battles that have brought the series its popularity, so it’s understandable to expect them to take a toll on our hardware.
Total War: Warhammer 40,000 System Requirements
Add to that the fact that the upcoming title is developed using the new Warcore engine, and it’s fair to worry about whether or not we’ll be able to run it, especially if a PC upgrade, given the rising cost of parts, remains out of our reach.
Unfortunately, at this point in time, developer Creative Assembly has yet to fully unveil Total War: Warhammer 40,000’s system requirements and the PC specs we’ll need to run the upcoming grand strategy game.
A glance at its Steam page does list the 64-bit version of Windows 10 under minimum requirements, with the 64-bit version of Windows 11 falling under recommended.
Anything else currently remains under wraps, which isn’t entirely unexpected, since Total War: Warhammer 40,000 doesn’t yet have a release date and the PC specs required to run it could still change as development progresses.
Delving into speculation territory for a bit, we’d expect the next entry in the series to require beefier PCs than Total War: Warhammer III currently does, but we’ll have to wait and see what the official specs look like.
We’ll likely hear more about Total War: Warhammer 40K’s system requirements as we get closer to launch. While we wait, here is what we know about its campaign map.
