Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt is developer Sharkmob's debut project and proof that battle royale games are unlikely to go anywhere anytime soon. Competition is core to the genre which makes crossplay a fairly hot topic with any new release.
The benefits of cross-platform support in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt are fairly clear. Releasing on both PC and PS5, it would allow for a larger playerbase to fill servers and battle each other using deadly weaponry and flashy vampiric powers. This, in turn, would reduce queue times, making it easier to get into games.
Is Bloodhunt Crossplay between PC and PS5?
Thankfully, the developer has confirmed that Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt crossplay will, indeed, be available upon release.
"Crossplay in Bloodhunt only happens as you enter the Prague map, where the matches take place. This means that you can encounter players from other platforms once a match starts," reads an article on the game's website.
"The Elysium (our game lobby) is platform specific, so you cannot group up with players from other platforms while you are in the Elysium. You can, however, fight them once you have entered Prague."

The PlayStation 5 version of the game also comes with an option to disable Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt's cross-platform support. Sadly, the option isn't available on PC, where the feature is enabled by default.
That's what you need to know about Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt crossplay. The free-to-play title launches on April 27 and is headed to both PC and PS5.
