Warframe’s next big update, due out this Fall, has been officially announced - it’s called The Vallis Undermind, it contains a brand new Warframe, and several new features.

With The Old Peace, Warframe’s next cinematic expansion, launching later this year, The Vallis Undermind will serve as what amounts to scaffolding - a way to get players up to speed with the game before they jump into the new content.
What To Expect From The Update
There’s a lot in the update. The main addition is that of Nokko, a ‘fungal trickster Warframe’ who uses viral status damage. He has abilities that include healing, buffing your allies, creating mushrooms that damage enemies, and a passive ability that prevents death, assuming you can get back to one of your already placed mushrooms fast enough.
Elsewhere in the update, The Vallis Undermind is a quest that allows you to complete bounties to unlock rewards, though it requires players first to complete The New War story quest, one of the lengthier missions in the game.
The final big addition coming with The Vallis Undermind is a complete overhaul to the Oberon Warframe, with all of his abilities receiving buffs while his passive has been completely changed since it previously was centered around companions - something that hasn’t particularly mattered since Digital Extremes reworked how companions worked.
Players who don’t yet have Oberon as part of their arsenal can get the Warframe for free by simply logging in between October 15 and October 21, alongside a free pre-build Forma which will allow them to hone their builds.
