Warhammer 40,000: Darktide will let you carry over your pre-order beta progression to the full version of the game when it launches later this month, developer Fatshark has confirmed.
When Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s pre-order beta initially launched, the developer didn’t immediately commit to allowing players to carry over progress to the full game, noting technical reasons.
The team was aware of how important a topic this was for fans, and it has now been confirmed that we won’t lose our progress when the title’s pre-order beta concludes.
“Rejects! Some may forget the promise of progress. We did not,” reads a tweet from the game’s official account. “Progression will carry over from the beta to full release.”
The possibility of created characters and earned gear disappearing into the Warp didn’t stop players from flocking to the co-op action game’s servers.
Darktide’s all-time concurrent players peak currently sits at 79,112, according to Steam Database, which shows that plenty of souls are willing to face uncertainty and fight for the Emperor.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s pre-order beta progression carrying over to the full game is certainly good news, especially if you’ve already maxed out one or more characters, and begun refining gear and nabbing cosmetics after yesterday’s update.
If you’ve yet to dip in, you may want to catch up on the game’s playable classes and find out if it will be available on PC Game Pass at launch.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s PC version is currently set to release on November 30. Its Xbox Series X/S version doesn’t have a launch date, but news about it should follow shortly after its PC counterpart is out.
