The Adeptus Mechanicus are joining the battle for Hive Tertium in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s Skitarii DLC. Announced during today’s Warhammer Skulls 2026 showcase, the latest content drop for Fatshark’s first-person action game is slated to release on June 23, 2026.
Trading flesh for sturdy metal, the Skitariii class joins Darktide’s growing roster of rejects with its own dedicated arsenal and set of unique skills.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s Skitarii Class DLC Releases This June
In terms of weaponry, owners can look forward to using the likes of arc weapons, phosphor blasters, galvanic rifles, and, when enemies get uncomfortably close, transonic blades.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s Skitarii class also boasts a non-linear talent tree that, according to the developer “enables unprecedented levels of build customisation.” The warriors of the Adeptus Mechanicus can take on the roles of long-range assassins, ruthless melee fighters, or embody a “walking storm of living electricity.”
In addition, their core power systems “fuel a wide array of combat abilities,” that become more powerful as more core power gets assigned to them.
Although they’re not quite as imposing as the Arbiter’s cyber-mastiff, Darktide’s Skitarii class is accompanied by an “adaptable las-pistol wielding servo-skull,” able to dispatch enemies, execute data interrogation protocols, provide healing, as well as act as a mobile flamethrower.
The standard edition of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s Skitarii DLC is priced at $11,99/€11,99 or your regional equivalent.
A more expensive deluxe edition is also available for $18,99/€18,99, likely granting access to cosmetic items that help deliver the wrath of the Machine God upon Nurgle’s minions in style.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s Skitarii class DLC is set to release on June 23, 2026 and will be accompanied by the free Expeditions update.
