Publisher Kasedo Games and developer Bulwark Studios today announced that Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 is now targeting a spring 2026 release window.
Mechanicus 2’s freshly announced release window will “allow the team to further refine the experience” by responding to fan feedback gathered from the turn-based strategy game’s successful Steam Next Fest demo.
Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 To Release in Spring 2026
More specifically, developer Bulwark Studios will introduce audio options that allow us to play Mechanicus 2 using either lingua-technis – the distinct language of the Adeptus Mechanicus – or the human voiceover heard in the demo.
In addition, the sequel’s movement systems “are also being enhanced, with an optional setting to allow the Move action to auto-select when cycling between units, creating a smoother and more efficient tactical flow.”
Furthermore, the studio is also working on addressing the performance concerns that players raised while playing the demo.
Accompanying the reveal of Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2’s spring 2026 release window, a video provides a deep dive into the leaders of the sequel’s playable factions.
Tech-Acquisitor Scaevola leads the forces of the Adeptus Mechanicus, relying on her Forbidden Knowledge mechanic to enhance skills based on the amount of stored Cognition.
This, however, comes at a cost, as a volatile energy can lash out at random, damaging both allied and enemy units. Certain units and tech upgrades grant Cognition, allowing Scaevola to both start missions with the resource and gain it as battles unfold.
Scaevola’s upgrades also allow her to shield nearby allies, teleport around the battlefield, inflict damage over time, and more, providing several different builds for the leader of the Adeptus Mechanicus.
Necron Lord Ominekh is described as a “versatile commander” who relies on his main trait, called The Master, to generate Dominion, a resource that allows allied units to recover health.
When they fall in battle, Necron units that aren’t finished off can reanimate. By recruiting a Technomancer, can come back to life with their armor buffed.
With the right combination of relics and command protocols, Ominekh can skip his own reanimation timer, reviving instantly and gaining more staying power on the battlefield.
You can watch the entire video below for a better look at what the two leaders can do when Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2’s spring 2026 release window comes around. The turn-based strategy sequel is set to launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
