The fifth installment in the We Were Here series has been announced by Total Mayhem Games, and it’s titled We Were Here Tomorrow.
The latest in the Co-op series will see players teaming up after awakening in a mysterious retro-futuristic facility full of strange machinery. The announcement trailer showcases some of the asymmetrical cooperative puzzles we can expect. There are some interesting gravity-defying walkways in there and the hint of some time travel shenanigans.

This time around, both characters have unique abilities to add extra layers to the smart puzzle design the series is renowned for. But there will still be familiar home comforts such as the walkie-talkie communication system.
As with previous entries, We Were Here Tomorrow will require players to communicate clearly and plan together to make progress. Each player has their own set of information, so the idea is you piece together the mystery of your presence in this facility by discussing what you know and see with your co-op partner.
The We Were Here series has been one of the more interesting co-op experiences I’ve had. You simply cannot play the games without getting along with your co-op partner, and that’s probably the closest I’ve felt an online experience feel like couch co-op.
We Were Here Tomorrow is set to launch in 2026 on PS5, Xbox X/S, and PC via Steam.
