Rogue Carrier’s gameplay revolves around securing interchangeable resources and setting up vital production chains, all while managing our crew’s morale and ensuring their needs are met.
In addition to the challenges of an evolving colony, we’ll also have to fend off a variety of alien threats, as the planet won’t take too kindly to our impromptu expedition.
Space aboard the ship is limited, so designing efficient production chains is a key part of getting as far as possible during runs. But Rogue Carrier is build with failure in mind, as the planet will react more strongly the further we push.
Its roguelite meta-progression layer allows us to “explore multiple timelines in search of answers” while uncovering new events and situations that keep subsequent runs fresh.
Rogue Carrier Story
Rogue Carrier’s story revolves around the theme of an expedition gone wrong. Our crew’s mothership gets blown out of orbit, leading to the survivors ending up stuck on the planet below, with very little to their name.
It’s unclear how structured of a story we can expect, but we will likely get to uncover who or what blew up our mothership while learning more about the planet we explore.
