The insanity that is Black Friday is almost ready to plague the United States, simulating if you will the national panic of a zombie apocalypse-style rush for consumer goods. Blizzard has joined the madness. That means there are savings to be had for StarCraft 2, Diablo 3 and of course the big cheese, World of Warcraft. The latter includes all expansions up to Warlords of Draenor, the latest addition.
Back in a time when games weren't entirely mastered by eagle-eyed Youtubers around thirty minutes after launch, Diablo's fabled cow level was one of the greatest gaming myths, the forerunner to GTA: San Andreas' missing Sasquatch. The upcoming sequel will be using their brand new internally developed engine that was specifically put together for the game. Diablo III has been in development for four years. They also spilled some imp-beans that the third instalment will be set 20 years after the events of Lord of the Destruction. There's no word on a release schedule.

The announcement of Diablo III in Paris last weekend has increased the sales of Blizzard's Diablo Battle Chest bundle, as its currently number one on the bestseller chart at Amazon.com. The pack was released many years ago, and includes Diablo, Diablo II, and The Lord of Destruction expansion pack along with two guides.
During our search for the Diablo Battle Chest bundle on Play.com, we noticed that Diablo III is available for pre-order at £24.99, and has a release date of 27th March, 2009. Could this be the intended release date for Diablo III? We cannot be sure until Blizzard officially announces it, as retail listings are often incorrect. But since its Diablo III, we wanted to let you know.
A secret source, that being a human not a delicious dip, has told videogaming247 that Blizzard will likely get some heat from Activision to develop for console. It's unlikely ever to be a direct order though as Blizzard is far too influential themselves. A console outing for Diablo III seems improbable given their staunch support for PC.
Posting on his personal blog, Bethesda's Fallout 3 producer Ashley Cheng has voiced his lamentations over Blizzard's "conservative side" on Diablo III and StarCraft II. Pat from Videogaming247 is reporting that a unknown page is offering download information for a leaked Diablo III demo. The file is reported to have been leaked by an internal beta tester. Update: Four Youtube trailers have appeared, a chap that claims to have cancer is sharing a lot of information about the game. We aren't sure if he's actually played this leaked beta or not. The upcoming Diablo III has been confirmed as a PC and MAC exclusive game, Blizz VP of game design Rob Pardo has acknowledged that Diablo could touchdown on a console. "Target selection is something you're going to lose on console," he mused. Of all their franchises he believes Diablo would be the "easiest game to translate."
An alleged tipster has informed the Diablo fansite DIII.net, that Blizzard has some big changes in the works for Battle.net including a "$6 key chain" for account security. This keychain apparently has a digital face that updates with a new 11 digit number which is supposed to make it near impossible to "keylog or bruteforce accounts."
A petition which gathered over 50,000 signatures from fans that didn't like the colourful art styling's of upcoming Diablo 3 has been dismissed by Blizzard. Leader designer Jay Wilson admits that the decision to add colour to Diablo's world was what the team "struggled with the most", and that "there's no going back now."
