New trailer for Burial at Sea Episode 2 for BioShock Infinite News

A new preview trailer glimpsing the opening moments to BioShock Infinite's Burial at Sea Episode 2 has been released by 2K Games and Irrational. No actual release date accompanied the tease. The Season Pass has promised all included DLC would be out by March 31st. It goes without saying that this preview trailer is bloated with spoilers, and sees the return of...

Ken Levine "winding down" Irrational Games, studio reduced to 15 developers News

BioShock creator Ken Levine is leaving the franchise behind as he dramatically restructures Irrational Games into a much smaller, leaner studio to undertake a "more entrepreneurial endeavor" at Take-Two. He's cutting the headcount to just 15 developers, with Irrational's future in "narrative-driven games" for core gamers with high replayability, and all exclusively digital.

Fire Hose Games offering "free desk space" to laid off Boston developers News

With the recent 'winding down' of Ken Levine's Irrational Games, there are a lot of developers now out of a job in the Boston area. Fire Hose Games is going to do something about that with "free desk space". They'd like to offer a number of places for devs to come and work on their own indie projects at no charge, as Fire Hose is already putting together an "indie game seed fund".

2K Marin to continue "shepherding" BioShock franchise post-Irrational Games News

Ken Levine's Irrational Games won't be leading the warped alternate reality of the BioShock universe any more, but Take-Two aren't letting the franchise sink to depths unknown. 2K Marin will be taking responsibility. There's "a lot of upside" to BioShock, says CEO Strauss Zelnick, and it "hasn't necessarily been realized yet." 2K Marin was behind BioShock 2, a direct sequel.

Ken Levine discusses Bioshock violence in radio interview News

Bioshock Infinite's lead designer Ken Levine appeared on NPR’s All Tech Considered yesterday, discussing the history of the series and the newest game's violent aspects. When host Arun Rath asked him about the violence in the game, bringing up a quote calling Infinite a "case study in unnecessary violence" Levine responded, "I think that it's not particularly more violent than Bioshock 1. I think the conversation in the games space has changed a little bit. I think people used Infinite as a launching point to talk about the changing nature of games and can you make successful games that don't have violence in video games."

Fox News logo looks remarkably similiar to Bioshock Infinite News

Why Fox News, that logo you used during an interview with Texas Governer Rick Perry regarding immigration looks rather familiar... one might even say it looks almost exactly like the one from Bioshock Infinite. And the fact you're using it during a discussion about immigrants is rather ironic too, considering the prominent themes of racism, blind patriotism and class struggle found in Infinite.

BioShock Infinite Preview Previews

It's a BioShock game alright. It even kicks off with a trip to a lighthouse, although this time you approach by paddle and leave by rocket.
