While EA and Bit Reactor have yet to reveal full details for this Specialization, they have confirmed that Astromechs are unlocked fairly early on and are recruitable through the Den's Droid Bay. Plus, aside from Hawks, players can fill their squad with Astromechs.
EA has also revealed that Star Wars: Zero Company will include R3, R4, R5 and BR-1 Astromech variants (although they’re a cosmetic pre-order bonus, rather than specific class types).
