Smoother Difficulty

Ever get frustrated by the fact that higher difficulties contain the risk of the enemy just running you down with a surplus of units in the early game? This mod aims to balance difficulty by taking ridiculous unit bonuses away from the AI while supplying it with appropriate alternative bonuses to make it a threat throughout the entire game. This is Civilization after all. A higher difficulty shouldn't only mean the AI employs the Zerg Rush tactic.

Feel like the colors of the vanilla civs look a little off or do you just feel like changing things up a bit? No problem. This mod introduces new and befitting colors of nearly every civilization in the game, save for a handful that were considered fine as is. It is a subjective improvement, but if you're not happy with any color, this one also provides instruction for making your own changes to the colors of any given civ to to best fit your tastes.

Sikh Civilization

This makes a new civilization, the Sikh Empire under of Pakistan and West-India under Ranjit Singh, available for selection and play. The Civ makes use of the river lands, gaining extra production toward districts placed riverside, not to mention gaining Follower Belief bonuses from religions with at least one follower in a Sikh city. The Sikh drainage system replaces the Granary with increased bonus food and housing and the Sikh Sepoy is an industrial era infantry that will gain faith for your nation from defeated enemies. Ranjit believes in a strong economy and enjoys Civs that boast lucrative trade, but will not tolerate those who settle near his lands. Will you be able to guide the Sikh nation to victory?

Lumbermills for Rainforests

Rainforests have trees. Realistically you should be able to cut these trees down and use them as resources like any other wood. So why can't you build lumber mills on rainforest tiles? There's no reason you shouldn't be able to and with this mod you will. It allows you to build the lumber mill tile enhancement on any rainforest tile and make use of that sweet foliage to fuel the production of your empire.

Research Reminder

Why spend precious science on research that you could easily finish with a Eureka and save yourself the resources for something far more important? If you fear forgetting to make the change in your research that will allow you to save time later, this mod is a great option. It supplies a reminder that notifies you to switch tech research when you're 50% complete (enough to finish with a Eureka, 40% in regard to China). Save time and dominate your Science tracks with careful planning and this handy notification.
