Dungeon of the Endless Summary
Endless Legend was one of the most beautiful games released last year, and a damned fine 4X game in its own right. Iget on with it as well as other reviewers seemed to (I found the interface a bit clunky and the combat occasionally frustrating), but I still had a lot of fun getting to know its various unique races – it has some of the best faction design I've ever seen.
If you've yet to dive into developerbeautifully designed fantasy world, this weekend's as good a time as any to do so – Endless Legend and its rogue-like dungeon–crawler spin-off Dungeon of the Endless are both free to play on Steam this weekend.
Indie developer Amplitude Studios has seen their Endless series of games rocket past 1.2 million sales, as it enjoyed the top spot during Steam's Autumn Sale. Endless Legend led Black Friday sales.
The French studio was founded over two-and-a-half years ago. The co-operative Dungeon of the Endless performed as well, which is the only non-4X title in the Endless series.
Amplitude Studios will release the latest entry in its Endless universe this month, with rogue-like dungeon defense game Dungeon of the Endless coming to Steam on October 27.
The game's been on Early Access since December 2013, but the complete version adds several new features including more difficulty levels, score tracking and co-op multiplayer.
Rogue-like tower defence game Dungeon of the Endless will eventually receive four-player co-op, according to developers Amplitude Studios.
In an interviewthe team confirmed their multiplayer plans, originally revealed in a developer blog post.
Amplitude Studios, creator of Endless Space, is bringing their new 4X strategy to the Early Access program through Steam in Q2 2014. It's a fantasy-based 4X set on a single world recovering from a cataclysm.
It features the The Vaulters, the "most sci-fi like faction" of Legend, and also part of the wider Endless universe. Amplitude will be introducing factions in a series of reveals.
