Wish there was a way to get your hands on the gems somewhere out there in the world where you're using them? This mod will lend you a hand. It allows you a 10% chance of mining a soul gem from any ore vein you mine, while still giving you the ore. What's more, the soul gems are leveled with you. Sure, you might start out mining petty soul gems, but later on, you just might get your hands on a grand or black soul gem if you're lucky.
