They launched DDoS attacks against the three titles in an event they called 'Titantic Takeover Tuesday', highlighting how serious these 'pranks' are becoming.
The hacking group shows no sign of remorse and continues to treat the affair as something celebratory and communal. "Silly Eve have taken their entire network offline after our very simple DDoS attack. Oh well, another day, another lulz!" twittered LulzSec.
The login servers for the three games were crippled knocking them offline. Gaming website The Escapist was also hit. "And that concludes our DDoS party: Escapist Magazine, Eve Online, Minecraft, League of Legends + 8 phone requests," they said.
Bethesda, Nintendo and Sony are all recent victims of the group. Hacking groups are becoming ever more tyrannical and have stepped up attacks ever since the vow from Anonymous to effectively destroy Sony's online operations.
Is this what we'll be suffering regularly from now on? Roll on Skynet.
