YouTube user Kryton has been pumping out Grand Theft Auto V videos for quite some time now. Rather than joining the bandwagon of gameplay montages, though, they all highlight the exciting world of visual overhaul mods. The lastest, now re-dubbed Project NVRX, has the game looking incredible even on a standard 1080p display. Made up of some impressive angles and scenes, the 'GTA V NEXT-GEN Graphics' video newly updated for 2017 shows a world that, upon first look, may actually fit what most commonly think Grand Theft Auto V looks like. Jump back into the game and you'll see that isn't quite true.

Not this one, though. While we can't say how it looks or performs in 4K due to the video being rendered and uploading at an average 1080p resolution, the smooth results become even more exciting when we learn this is being handled on some fairly inexpensive hardware. Using a GTX 1080 GPU and Core i7 chip from back in 2013 with 60-90FPS averages, this is an overhaul mod easily achievable by a decent chunk of the PC gaming community. With the rest of the bells and whistles, the author recommends some beefier hardware to fix texture pop-in and load times, but you can always pick and choose which elements to use and which to cut out. It looks like they're uploading comparison videos of each individual mods, too, so there's some direct comparisons to view down below.
