Carmageddon: Reincarnation Summary
The final release date for Carmageddon: Reincarnation, the crowd-funded and subsequently Early Access-ed fourth entry in the long-running vehicular homicide, has been pushed back a month.
Reincarnation was originally intended to make it the doors on April 23, but developer and original franchise creator Stainless Games has moved the date back to May 21.
Franchise reboot Carmageddon: Reincarnation earned $625,000back in 2012, and made its debut early last year. Now it's almost ready to release in full.
Original series creatorhas announced that the game's final, official release date will be April 23. They've also provided a nice rundown of everything fans will get in the final version.
Stainless Games' Carmageddon: Reincarnation will be causing fresh waves of hysteria this March 27th as it comes screeching onto Steam Early Access. They can "finally do the stuff that we wanted to do".
Currently it's at the pre-Alpha stage and it has "more laughs, more bodily fluids, more thrills, more smashes" with Kickstarter backers gaining a two week earlier Early Access.
Following the announcement that Carmageddon: Reincarnation will be coming to Steam Early Access in Q1 2014, developer Stainless also revealed that backers would receive only the standard game.
This meant all future DLC would have to be purchased, and that didn't sit well with backers who ultimately gave Stainless the opportunity to make Reincarnation.
Stainless Games' Carmageddon: Reincarnation will be enraging politicians and producing page one outrage in early 2014 as it arrives on Steam Early Access. Cars, levels and game modes unspecified.
Updates will then continue to pour into the Early Access build in the following months, with backers who pledged $15 or more getting the standard edition of Reincarnation free.
